As a general rule, we like to err on the side of comfort, rather than capacity. So, with the luxury package, the 4 metre tent is ideal for a couple with one double bed or two friends with two single beds. That way there is plenty of space for other kit and a sitting area with scatter cushions and a small table.
Three people can also sleep comfortably in this tent, on either three single beds or a double and a single.
For a family of 4 or more, we would recommend the 5 metre tent, which can sleep parents on a double bed, plus up to 3 children on three single beds very comfortably.
For group bookings, the 5 metre tents can sleep a maximum of 6 on 3 double beds and the 4 metre tent can accommodate 3 people on 3 singles.
On the basic package, the tents will sleep more people if guests bring their own bedding in the form of sleep mats and sleeping bags.
If you have a specific arrangement in mind, give us a call and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you and do our best to fit everyone in.
We currently have 12 tents: one 3 metre, five 4 metres, five 5 metres and an emperor.
We can accommodate bookings of up to 40 people depending on bed configuration, with our luxury package:
3 metre: 2 x single beds (2 people)
4 metre: 3 x single beds (3 people)
5 metre: 3 x double beds (6 people)
Emperor: 7 people or communal tent depending on booking
On the basic package we can fit larger numbers if you bring your own sleeping bags and sleep mats.
We wouldn't recommend it. At least not in our bell tents! We operate from May to September because we don't want our guests to be uncomfortable and miserable. It's too cold to camp outside of these times with the tents and kit we provide. Our tents do not have any heating, and our bedding is more suited to warm summer nights.
No. You are responsible for booking and paying for pitches on a campsite as they will need your contact details and possibly even a credit card from you. We are happy to recommend campsites in the local area. Please be sure to check your campsite can accommodate a 4 or 5 metre bell tent.
Yes. As long as we can access the garden directly without having to go through the house and can park very close by. The space needs to be at least 7 metres acorss to fit a 4 metre tent, or 8 metres to fit a 5 metre. We need a flat, grassy area not under trees and away from tree roots, buried cables or drain covers.
Yes. Again it's all about access, (we're assuming you'll have the landowners permission). We need to be able to drive right up to the spot where the tents are to be pitched. This needs to be a flat, grassy area not under trees and away from tree roots, buried cables or drain covers, and not somewhere animals have recently been grazed.
We use quality full size airbeds, with proper duvets and pillows and soft furnishings such as throws and scatter cushions are also included. We provide a small hand painted Indian table and non electric lighting. Cooking and dining equipment is available on request. Please see the "Luxury" or "Basic" package for a full breakdown of what is included in each and to choose the package best suited to your needs.
For all locations within 1 hour of Bath, delivery is included in the price. For any enquiries regarding destinations a little further afield, we may still be able to help, please contact us regarding delivery charges.
No. We are very sorry but we don't allow pets in our tents at all. We provide lots of soft furnishings such as rugs, cushions and throws and it would not be fair to our non pet owning guests to allow pets in the tents. We are very aware of smells and allergens and also we wouldn't want an accidental catch of a claw on an airbed deflating it!
Yes you can. When booking your campsite, ask for a pitch with electric hook-up. You will need to provide your own mains kit, or ask if the campsite offer these for hire.
